HEITERWANGER SEE

The largest lake in the region - with connection to Plansee

Together with the Plansee, the Heiterwanger See forms the second largest water area in Tyrol. It is located directly at the gate to the Tiroler Zugspitz Arena in the community of the same name, Heiterwang, and belongs to the community of Reutte. Both lakes are connected by a 300 meter long canal.

The best way to see the lakes is to take a boat trip on one of the passenger ships MS Explore Margarethe or MS Wilhelm  Or you enjoy the evening at one of the great dinner cruises.

The Heiterwanger See is in summer and in winter a very popular destination for the whole family because of the many beautiful bathing places and leisure activities in, at and around the lake.
