The Seebensee is a dreamlike mountain lake at 1.675m above the Ehrwalder Alm in the Mieminger mountain range and is probably one of the most beautiful of its kind in Tyrol. Its imposing location and turquoise colour make the lake jewel so unique and a popular destination for hikers and bikers.
The Seebensee is surrounded by the Sonnenspitze in the west and the Tajakopf in the east. In the south you can see the Mieminger Kette and the Drachenkopf. To the north the Wettersteingebirge with the Zugspitzmassiv rises.
The Drachensee is a crystal clear mountain lake at 1.910m and is 28m deep. It lies directly below the Coburger Hütte and slightly above the Seebensee - both extremely popular hiking destinations. The Drachensee is the highest lake in the region, so its water temperature is rather frosty. Nevertheless, courageous visitors venture briefly into the cool waters of the Drachensee.
The Igelsee is a small mountain lake at 1.585m above the Ehrwalder Alm and at the foot of the Igelskopf. In some maps the lake is also called Negelsee or Egelsee. On the way to Leutasch/ Gaistal this lake is visible depending on weather conditions. From the Ehrwalder Alm you reach the Igelsee on the way to Seebensee.
