GUEST BUS BAVARIA-TYROL

Free bus service for guests of the Zugspitz Arena Bavaria-Tyrol

Expected operating times Summer season 2023: Saturday 01 July to Sunday 03 September and 01 to 31 October 2023.

Holiday guests with a valid guest card from the regions of Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Zugspitzdorf Grainau and the Tyrolean Zugspitz Arena can commute free of charge between Lermoos, Ehrwald, Grainau and Garmisch-Partenkirchen. The bus operated by the cooperation partner Reisebüro Zoller runs 6 times a day and is signposted "Gästebus Bayern-Tirol".

ROUTES & STOPS:

Lermoos - Ehrwald Bahnhof – Bahnhof Untergrainau – Schmölz Abzweigung Grainau – Bahnhof Garmisch (Westseite bei Bhf. Zugspitzbahn) – Marienplatz Garmisch (stop at Café Thron - Alpspitzstraße) and back.

The bus stops at the regular stops of the local bus operators. The timetable is posted and is highlighted in yellow.

TRAVEL ENTITLEMENT:

All of the holiday guests of the Zugspitz Arena Bayern-Tirol are entitled to travel. This includes the communities of the Tyrolean Zugspitz Arena, the municipality of Grainau and the market town of Garmisch-Partenkirchen.

A valid guest card must be presented upon boarding.

PLEASE NOTE:

Only holiday guests with the following valid guest cards are entitled to travel:

- GaPaCard, GaPa Guest Card
- GrainauCard
- Guest Card Tiroler Zugspitz Arena
- Zugspitz Arena Bayern-Tirol CARD
 
  • Travel is free of charge, a valid guest card is the ticket and must be presented upon boarding.
  • We ask for your understanding that only guests with the above valid guest cards can travel.
  • Children under 6 years of age travelling with their parent or legal guardian are free of charge. In this case, the guest card of the parent or guardian is sufficient.
  • Transport of dogs, baby buggies, wheelchairs, ski-/snowboard-equipment and  toboggan is free of charge.
  • Transport of bikes is free of charge. Bikes can only be taken at the bus stops with the bicycle symbol on the timetable . Reservation until 2 hours before your bus ride under the phone number: 0043-699-15 673 045 (bus service) or 0043-664-881 403 62. The transport of bikes is limited depending on available space.
  • For legal reasons, no e-bikes will be taken!

 

INFORMATION ABOUT THE ENTRY FROM BAVARIA TO TYROL WITH THE GUEST BUS

  • FFP2 mask, 2-G or 3-G proof are no longer required.

Currently, the following applies to entry into Bavaria:

  • No more 3-G proof (PCR test, vaccination, recovery) when entering Germany.
  • No FFP2 masks compulsory in public transport and its stops
  • FFP2 mask in hospitals, in old people's homes and nursing homes.
  • FFP2 mask recommendation in all enclosed spaces.

Currently, the following applies to entry into Tyrol:

  • No more 3G proof for entry into Austria (vaccinated, recovered or tested) from all states.
  • FFP2 masks compulsory in hospitals, old people's homes and nursing homes.

The Zugspitz Arena Bavaria-Tyrol is working within the framework of the Interreg Programme V-A Austria-Bavaria 2014 - 2020 to improve local mobility and closes the connection gap between the Bavarian and Tyrolean sides with the Bavaria-Tyrol guest bus.
