St. Martins Hütte am Grasberg
Take a look towards Mount Kramer and you will see the "Sankt Martinshütte". Since August 1920, the restaurant, located at an altitude of 1040 meters, has been the point of contact for hikers in summer and tobogganists in winter. The hut is managed by Sabine Scherer who spoils her with Bavarian delicacies. The starting point for the tour to the hut is the Bayernhalle in Brauhausstraße.
After a leisurely hike of around an hour, you will finally be rewarded with a view of the whole of Garmisch-Partenkirchen. The view is dominated by the Wetterstein Mountains, one of the most powerful mountain ranges in the northern Alps, with Germany's highest mountain, the Zugspitze.
