The guild church in Bichlbach isn’t just a unique sight to see because of its extraordinary frescos. What makes it even more special is the fact that it’s Austria’s only guild church!
The astonishing building was erected in 1710. At the time, numerous masons, carpenters, artists and other craftsmen united to form a regional guild, which supported the construction of the church.

The single-nave, two-storey building with two crypt chapels was renovated in the 1970s before a new guild was founded in 1977.
The showpiece of the church is the ten metres tall, almost fully gold-plated high altar.
