Maria Hilf | Court chapel
The Mariahilf Chapel in the courtyard is known locally as the Hofkapelle.
It was built around 1870/73 and is privately owned by the Kerber (Leisi) family. The suggestion to build it was given by the cooperator Johann Sprenger, who worked in Ehrwald. He donated the Mariahilf picture for the altar (a copy of the famous Mariahilf picture by Lukas Cranach in the cathedral of St. Jakob in Innsbruck) and the bell for the tower. The altar was made by the local painter and sculptor Josef Spielmann. The furnishings also include a picture of St Anthony and a commemorative picture of Father Joseph Freinademetz, who was canonised in October 2003, as well as a replica of the Jesus Child in Prague and a copy of the famous Raphael Madonna from the Roman Vatican. Two magnificent stained glass windows (see download below) decorate the window openings. The ceiling fresco shows Mary with Child in a floral wreath. The chapel also has a treasure trove of small relics from the Holy Land, Rome, Assisi and Padua, kept in a glass case. An engagement bracelet is enclosed with a picture of Mary (Mary with the Child Jesus) donated to the chapel in gratitude, because the donors got engaged decades ago in the court chapel. During the necessary renovation of the chapel, which began in 2010, the little bell mentioned above unfortunately broke. Bell founder Graßmayr from Innsbruck then cast a new bell with lettering and decoration according to the old model, which was consecrated by parish priest Herbert Kassebacher on 20 September 2010. The 1st petition leads to the Hofkapelle on the Monday before Ascension Day at 6.00 am. In May, the May devotion is prayed on Tuesday at 7.00 p.m., in October on Tuesday at 5.00 p.m. the October rosary is prayed.
