Guild museum in Bichlbach
Craft guilds have a long-standing tradition in Tyrol – and especially, in Bichlbach. Masons, carpenters, artists, and other craftsmen: They all united to form an independent guild in Außerfern in the 17th century.
Did you know? With the financial support of the guild, a church was built between 1710 and 1712. Today, this guild church is the only one of its kind in Austria.
Visitors can find out about the construction of the church as well as the traditional guilds of Tyrol during a visit to the guild museum in Bichlbach.

At the guild museum, five different rooms showcase fascinating insights into the world of carpenters, masons, painters and sculptors. How are frescos created? What does the work of a gilder look like? Answers to these and other questions will be answered by having a look at the historical artefacts and informative illustrative materials on exposition at the museum.
