Studio and exhibition space of the Ehrwald sculptor Mario Gasser: My works are mostly inspirations from the nature and mountain world surrounding me. Many works are therefore triangular and pyramid compositions. I am very much concerned with line guides, which develop their own dynamics through intersections. In the wooden works, the material is often only a carrier of form; only the colour gives the work the desired expressiveness. In the stone works, it is particularly important for me not to destroy the existing mass through greater reduction, in order to give the work a stronger archaic quality. For me, sculpture is the constant discovery of new forms, influenced by the surrounding landscape. Ultimately, it is up to the viewer to find his or her personal geology in my works.
