The guild church in Bichlbach is not only special because of its unique frescoes. What makes it even more extraordinary is the fact that it is Austria's only guild church!
Construction on the impressive building began as early as 1710, when numerous masons, plasterers and carpenters joined together to form a regional guild that supported the construction of the church.

The single-nave, two-story building with two crypt chapels was renovated in the early 1970s before a new guild brotherhood was formed in 1977.
The showpiece of the church is the ten-meter high, almost completely gilded high altar. Other highlights of the Guild Church of St. Joseph include:
