GRENZENLOS MAGAZINE WINTER 2023/2024

The new winter edition of the guest magazine GRENZENLOS is here. From delicious highlights and winter sports activities to ancient customs and traditions: The Zugspitz Arena Bayern-Tirol once again has plenty of adventurous stories in store.

This winter, unforgettable experiences await you in the Zugspitz Arena Bavaria-Tyrol that you will remember for a long time to come. Garmisch-Partenkirchen, the Zugspitz village of Grainau and the Tiroler Zugspitz Arena will take you on a winter wonderland of a very special kind. Rustic mountain huts and lodges invite you to linger and have fun with their casual Alpine charm and warm service. Did you know that joie de vivre is even available freshly tapped? The beer of the mountains gives you the same high as a strenuous summit ascent. Take a look at the new GRENZENLOS magazine to discover the local art of brewing in our cross-border region.

Of course, culinary delights are a must on a dream holiday. An innovative multi-course menu is presented to you at the "Gapa schmeckt's" event series, for example. The "Winter in the Park" event is also well worth a visit. Here you can sample delicious specialities from regional food trucks under twinkling lights. Or how about a fluffy Ziachkiachl, which has its origins in Tyrol?

The best of both worlds

Freshly energised, you can then head out into nature. The combination of an extended hike followed by a spa visit to the Zugspitzbad Grainau offers an action-packed yet relaxing experience. This allows your body and mind to recover properly so that you can start the day full of energy again.

Whether it's cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and curling during the day or night skiing, night tobogganing and torch-lit hikes at night - in the Zugspitz Arena Bayern-Tirol you have a limitless range of possibilities to organise your stay. With the start of the cold season, exciting event highlights are also on offer. The GRENZENLOS magazine will tell you what they are.

Between past and present

The locals also attach great importance to their roots. The traditional ice hockey club SC Riessersee from Garmisch-Partenkirchen is already celebrating its 100th anniversary. What legendary things have happened during this time? Find out in the GRENZENLOS magazine. The exciting history is also kept alive in Grainau: Be it on the themed hike "Legends, witches and poaching", the incense workshops or the Klöpflesingen carol singing at Advent. Fascinating devilish figures and loud bells greet you in the streets of Tyrol. At the end of the year, the evil spirits of winter are driven out during the Tuifl runs. Would you like to find out more about the traditions of the individual destinations? Then browse through the GRENZENLOS.
